Hole 3

The first par 5 at The Loon is the easiest.  You need to get your tee shot from going right into a magnificent wetland area that protects the right side of the hole.  The fairway is wide enough and leaves a bail out area to the left where you would be in trees but you’re provided lots of room to advance the ball.  The only problem on the hole is the pesky water hazard that comes into play on the second shot.  Just get your ball over this and most of the hole is solved.  The green is protected right and left by bunkers but a large opening in front allows you easy access on the ground.  We have a saying at The Loon after you play hole number 3. "Hope your round is going well so far because the next stretch of holes is a challenge."
