Hole 5
The signature par 5 in all of 22 plus golf courses in the Gaylord Golf Mecca. Designed around Round Lake from tee to green this hole allows the player to gamble if they can hit a long tee shot. A large White Pine Tree splits the target area making it easy to decide to either aim left of the tree to the large fairway or go right and attempt to clear the lake and 5 bunkers that offer addition protection on the right. Number 5 has a generous fairway but is full of undulations that carry right through to one of the toughest greens on the golf course. Most players play left of the tree and make it a 3 shot par 5. But the challenge is there for the big hitters. Never lost in the great designed risk and reward the hole offers is the beauty of the hole. "Keep your ball dry and you will be fine on this one."
